Coming up! In the meanwhile:

 Hello guys!

I'm Gonçalo, an audio mastering engineer living in Portugal. Nice to "e-meet" you!

I recently had 2 ideas for 2 distinct audio plugins that came up out of a personal necessity while working on a couple songs some months ago. I gave them both quite a bit of thought to figure out the necessary processes in the audio realm to make them work. Once I was able to do so I then realized they'd both make great tools for audio professionals and the community in general and started looking for a professional programmer that could help me turn them into reality.

Once I found the right person to help we immediately started working on the project for the first idea. We have a v3 prototype ready for the first plugin, so we know the process I came up with actually works, and we're now in development stage, hence fine-tuning it to make it the best tool we can. I've been paying and working with this coder his standard rate as he's been working on the project as a side gig for now.

The reason I decided to start this campaign was the need to further continue the project and to be able to pay this programmer a full-time wage starting August 2024, when he'll be available to commit to both projects full-time. The goal set for this campaign is strictly considering the investment needed to pay him throughout 6 months of work, so all donated funds will directly go to his monthly wage. Here's a brief presentation of the concepts for the 2 plugins we're working on:

  • The first plugin that we're already implementing is a real-time level/loudness compensation tool for monitoring. Meaning that it'll adjust your monitoring level in real-time while you're making moves/processing the tracks, so you won't get fooled by extra loudness/level when making decisions. It can also be used as a gain-staging tool and it works with both fully digital or hybrid (analog+digital) processing chains. This plugin's name is Nirvana.

  • The second plugin is a stereo "pointing" tool, meaning you'll be able to target specific "spots" in the stereofield of a whole mix and process them with any effect you desire without affecting the rest of the track. It'll also allow to isolate these "spots" in the stereo field of the mix and print them as such, say for a producer's sampling purposes. It can also be appliable in a mastering context or in audio restoration. This plugin's name is Bushido.

My proposal for donators is the following:

  • Donating the amount of $70 (or more) will allow you to have access to a full license for 1 of these tools. If donating $140 you'll have full access to both tools, once developed;

  • If donating under $70 you'll get a proportional discount (say 100% discount in the selected plugin when donating $70, 50% discount when donating $35, etc) when purchasing the software, once it's released;

  • All +70$ donations will include updates (if requested by the donator) and details on the development process; Can also include sharing beta-versions and participation in the beta-testing process;

I'd please ask donators, when donating, to include their full name, contact info and which of these tools you're interested in so I can further deliver requested products or discounts.

Please feel free to reach out for any extra information or questions!
